Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I’m gonna start this with a disclaimer: I’m sick. I’m down with the flu and I have no idea where I got it from. Maybe it’s the weather or maybe I got it from somebody. No matter. It’s here and it looks like it’s going to stay for a while.

SIGH.

With that being said, I’ve decided to finally review a foundation that’s well-loved by celebrity makeup artist Lisa Eldridge: Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation.

She featured this foundation in countless videos including the “highstreet/drugstore favorites” video. I noticed that she uses this particular foundation when she wants to achieve the “look-ma-no-foundation” effect.

And after trying it out for myself, I can definitely see why she likes it so much.

I’d love to drop by again this year (I went to the last one), but I’ll have to check… I’m supposed to undergo dental surgery on the same day. Ugh. Worst case scenario is that my dentist excavates (yes, as in dig deep) and also pulls out the one above it. There is a reason, a valid reason, why I fear dentists!

Ahem.

Review: Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow Samba-dy Loves Me

I don’t own a lot of Benefit products so I’ve decided to try something new from the brand, since they already have stores here. Well, I’m not entirely sure if these Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow/Liner are new, per se, but I don’t have any cream eyeshadows and I’ve never tried them before so yes, these are new to me.

If you could recall, I bought these during my “hissy fit” splurge along with a NARS blush. I bought two pots, in fact, but I’ll review just one for now: Benefit’s Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in Samba-dy Loves Me.

Review: Shu Uemura Whitefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil

Sorry for the lack of activity, folks. But… that’s not really a novel concept on this blog, huh? The main reason is that I recently transferred to another company and I’m back in the Advertising business! I also moved from Ortigas to Makati.

Travel to and from work is exhausting.

Anyway, while my workload isn’t too crazy yet, I’ve decided to churn out a review on one product that I’ve been eyeing a long time and when I finally succumbed, it was an instant HG material.

Enter Shu Uemura’s Whitefficient Clear Brightening Gentle Cleansing Oil.

Originally, I just wanted to try it out so I got the 150ml bottle but my mom – on her way back from the UK – dropped by Changi Airport and got me the full 450ml bottle! Bonus points when she got me the limited edition Mamechiyo bottle. Isn’t it so purty?

Compare the size of the two bottles. I got the 150ml a little less than a month ago and I’ve been using it since.

So why did I buy this? I bought the brightening variant because (much thanks to the daily stress I endure), I have dull skin and I needed something that will cut my nightly cleansing regime.
